I'm happy to report that I've officially survived the first year of my PhD program! A few of my Clinical Neuropsychology classmates, our professor, Brian Yochim, PhD, and I went out to celebrate after our final was finished.
Meghan, this is Terry Cremin - a teacher from Schenk. Just talked with your mother on the phone -- I was dropping an adult education class at MATC --trying to learn to type after all these years. Although I never had you as a student I certainly remember you -- a good memory. I worked more closely with your sister Melissa. Just wanted to drop a note to let you know how proud I am of all your academic accomplishments. As a teacher, I hold a special place in my heart for former students who go onto higher education. I also have a special love for New York Cty so I am thrilled you got to experience that wonderful city for so many years. (Your mother filled me in on quite a lot!) I'll spend some time now reading your blog -- and I do have a special interest as I have early stages macular degeneration. I understand they have already cured it in lab rats with stem cells. And that the process will work with humans. Let's hope for an new administration that will support stem cell research. Good luck with this phase of your life. Sounds like you are doing important work.
